Bertha Morris Parker (1890–1980) was an American educator, science writer and children's author. After earning a science degree at the University of Chicago in 1914, she taught science at its Laboratory Schools for many years and was a research associate at the Chicago Natural History Museum. From 1941 she wrote more than eighty books, first on social science and then on natural science, some of them translated into Japanese, Korean, Greek, Italian and French. She is best known as principal author of the sixteen-volume Golden Book Encyclopedia (1959–1969), of which Book 10 is listed here.
Parker died in October 1980.
