Eschel Rhoodie

Eschel Rhoodie, born on 11 July 1933, was a South African civil servant, public relations officer and spin doctor, remembered as one of the key players in the Information Scandal of 1978–79, also known as "Infogate" or "Muldergate". He served as Secretary of the Department of Information from 1972 to 1977, under the minister Connie Mulder; the scandal centred on a secret propaganda programme run by his department. Rhoodie died on 17 July 1993.
