Ridley Pearson was born on 13 March 1953. In 1991 he became the first American writer awarded the Raymond Chandler-Fulbright Fellowship at Oxford, and has since published more than fifty novels, including a long-running series following Seattle detective Lou Boldt that began with Undercurrents. Middle of Nowhere, listed here, is the seventh Boldt novel. He also co-created the Peter and the Starcatchers series with Dave Barry, later adapted into a Tony Award-winning Broadway play, and wrote Disney's Kingdom Keepers series.
As of 2026 Pearson continues to write, with recent titles in the Kingdom Keepers series.
