T. Davis Bunn was born in 1952 in North Carolina and studied at Wake Forest University before earning a further degree in international finance in London. He worked as a business consultant and taught international finance in Switzerland before turning to full-time fiction from 1990, writing Christian legal thrillers and historical fiction that have won four Christy Awards. The Great Divide, listed here, follows a corporate lawyer who leaves a prestigious firm to rebuild his life and career in a small North Carolina town.
As of 2026 Bunn continues to publish and holds the title of Novelist in Residence at Regent's Park College, Oxford, where he lives.
